On November 12, 2019, teachers of the Department of language and General education of foreigners of the faculty of pre-University education training of foreigners held an open educational event on the theme: "Holidays in Kazakhstan".
Students of the Department of Language and General Education of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-University Education of KazNU named after al-Farabi visited the State Historical and Cultural Museum - Reserve "Issyk". The exposition of the museum reflects the history of ancient tribes, life and culture of the folk of Kazakhstan. During a fascinating tour, foreign students learned about the history of this region, got acquainted with expositions devoted to the history and culture of the Saka period, including a copy of the Golden Man, ancient ceramics, weapons, horse equipment and a sectional model of the Saki barrow. The excursion to the museum - reserve "Issyk" was very interesting and informative.

Students of the Department of Language and General Education of Foreigners attended an exciting lecture at the University Museum on the 4th of November 2019. Senior lecturer Kurmanova T.V. I told students about the history of the formation of the faculty. Thirty four year ago this department appeared in the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi (which was called the Kazakh State University named after Kirov then). Since 1985, more than 5,000 people from 83 countries of the world have attended the course in a preparative department for foreign citizens of Kaznu. Students examined the exhibits presented in the museum with the great interest. They are gifts from grateful graduates from different countries of the world. Among them we have exclusive national costumes, various souvenirs, photo albums, newspaper clippings. Special attention was drawn to handmade national souvenirs made of wood. Excursion participants received a lot of useful and interesting information.

On October 26, 2019 at 19: 30 in the Assembly hall of the hostel No.14 the music club "Көнілді әндер" of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held an educational event "Music in our life".

During the excursion, foreign students visited Ili-Alatau national Park, lake Issyk.

October 20, 2019 at 20:00 in the auditorium of the hostel №14 teachers of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held an educational event "Turkestan is the historical center of South Kazakhstan". During the event, foreign students were shown a film on the stated topic.
October 18, 2019 at 20:00 in the auditorium of the hostel №14 teachers of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held an educational event "We read poetries in Russian". The students recited poems of Pushkin and Esenin.
