On the January 15, 2019 the screening of the documentary film “The Great Silk Road - a trace of the past and the horizon of the future” was shown in the E. Tursunov Cinema Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of TursunGabitov, Professor of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, head of the Center of Kazakhtanu named after Zh. The film tells about the relationship and cultural dialogue between cities and whole cultures that were located and flourished along the Great Silk Road, as well as the achievements of a nomadic culture, which should be given an objective assessment.

The film also tells about modern ecology, specific problems of national identification and, most importantly, the origin and prospects of national culture.

The domestication of horses, the kobyz instrument (the basis of a violin musical instrument), the metallurgical industry, the initial types of apple fruit crops and snowdrop (saffron) were characterized as one of the many main contributions of nomadic culture to the world civilization.

“Golden Man”, created in the “animal style” of the ancient Saka culture, requires special significance and attention.Modern Kazakh culture is legal and the main heir of these achievements, therefore its study, preservation and development is our main duty before our great ancestors and future generations.
