On November 15, from 4 pm to 6 pm, a scientific seminar was held on the topics of dissertations of Ph.D. students of the 2nd year of specialties Religion Studies – Nurgul Tutinova “Religion as a factor in sociocultural conflicts in Central Asia” and Islamic studies – Zhanara Turganbaeva “Adab in the cultural and communicative space of the Islamic world: continuity of traditions and modernization” on the basis of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies.

The goal of the scientific seminar was to cover the topic of the doctoral dissertation, substantiate its relevance, methodology, as well as scientific articles published on the topic of the dissertation in the framework of testing the results of scientific research.

The audience was represented by undergraduates of the 2nd course of the specialty “Islamic Studies” of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of al-Farabi Kazakh National University. At the end of the presentation of each report on the work done by the Ph.D. students, they were asked a number of questions regarding the selected sequence of issues developed as part of the dissertation research, platforms for publishing scientific articles, chronological and civilizational-geographical boundaries of research, sources used.

The atmosphere of mutual respect, research interest, exchange of experience of scientific work, creative search reigned at the scientific seminar.
