Meeting on the topic «Prevention of religious extremism and terrorism»
On November 21, senior lecturer of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies Elnar Berikbayev, at the invitation of the Faculty of International Relations, held a conversation for first-year students on the topic: "Prevention of religious extremism and terrorism".
The audience was told about the state policy in the religious sphere, about the danger of destructive religious movements and modern methods of recruitment. The expert noted the importance of preserving the secular structure of the state, warned of responsibility for the spread of extremist ideas.
During the conversation, many important and topical issues were discussed with students: about the rules of information security in social networks, how to protect yourself from the influence of destructive religious movements, etc.
