International Scientific and Practical Conference «Challenges of the post-unusual time»

 

On June 16-17, 2022, the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an international scientific and practical conference "Challenges of the post-unusual time" in the Al-Farabi Scientific Library. In addition, the conference was attended by the Center for Religious Studies and Expertise, the Al-Farabi Center, the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), the Institute of Education Integration (Institute of Knowledge Integration), the Center for Post-Urban Policy and Future Studies (Center for Postnormal Policy and Futures Studies, CPPFS) and "Idrak" (Idrak Public Union). The conference touched upon the development and popularization of the theory of post-non-classical time, the main characteristics and application of this theory in various fields of research.

The conference was attended by Dr. Ziyaddin Sardar, a world-famous intellectual, author of the theory of post-Soviet times, director of the Center for Post-Soviet Politics and Future Prospects Research. Also present were members of the working group Ziyaddin Sardar: futurologist and Deputy Director Dr. Jordi Sera del Pino with 40 years of experience in the field of studying modern changes and future prospects, Executive Assistant Director, philosopher and political scientist Dr. Scott Jordan, who currently works in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

The main directions of the conference were devoted to topical problems of the theory of post-Soviet time: current problems, the main characteristics of post-Soviet time, issues of post-Soviet time and identity, post-Soviet time in the political dimension, digitalization and post-Soviet time, cultural and social aspects of post-Soviet time, Kazakhstan in post-Soviet time.
