Quarterfinal of the World Cup in programming
Since 2003 the department of informatics on the basis of mekhaniko-mathematical faculty TREASURY of al-Farabi annually holds a quarterfinal of the World Cup in programming of ASM among teams of Kazakhstan in which students of all leading HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS of the republic take part. Also the department of informatics holds the Olympic Games on programming among school students and students, such as MechMatOpen, by Inform, the Regional subject Olympic Games.
On November 8, 2014 the Department of Informatics organized and held a quarterfinal of the Team championship of the world on programming among college teams.
