Meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Kazakhstan Lale Ulker, organized by the Chair of Turkology and Indology was held on the 27 March 2012 on the Faculty of Oriental Studies. General Consul of Turkish Republic in Almaty Sadin Ayyilmaz, professor of the Gazi University Nadjie Yildyz (Ankara), director of the KazNU International Relations Department Aizhan Bolatkhankyzy Smailova, the Head of the Chair of Turkology and Indology Avakova Raushan Amirdinovna and other teachers and professors of the Chair participated in this meeting. “Diplomatic relations between Turkey and the Republic of Kazakhstan during the 20 years period” was discussed on the gathering. Mrs. Lale Ulker also reminded about the Turkey, which was the first state recognized the independence of Kazakhstan. Also the parallel between two countries was made in the spheres of law, language, religion, culture, mentality and tradition. Mrs. Ambassador expressed her wish to develop interaction between Turkey and Kazakhstan in fields of education, culture, trade and also development of friendly relations.
