Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Shadkam Zubaida, Director of the Research Institute “Written Monuments and Spiritual Heritage” November 21-29, 2023. As part of a grant project, she went on a business trip to the city of Hyderabad (Republic of India). The main purpose of the visit is to study the collections of libraries and museums, archives of the city of Hyderabad, search for medical records; searching for new data related to the project topic, identifying manuscripts; get acquainted with the text of the written relics, get a copy.

Z. Shadkam met with Mahmud Alam, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Oriental Languages at the EFL University of English and Foreign Languages, a specialist in Persian, discussed the work plan, met with the heads of the Oriental Manuscripts Library and Research (OMLRI) and received consent and permission to conduct research.

Sallar worked in the library of the Jung Museum. She also got acquainted with the catalogs of the museum fund, 8 exhibits of the 18th-19th centuries, a handwritten book was selected and the text was checked.

Z. Shadkam got acquainted with the library of Nizamia Jamia (Nizamia madrasah) and the Chaumahalla Foundation. In total, the library collection contains 1316 Arabic, Persian, Urdu manuscripts and more than 2400 ancient lithographic books. I got acquainted with 7 medical works stored in the archive.

Based on the results of the trip:

- met with librarians of the city of Hyderabad;

- a total of 32 manuscripts, 30 extremely rare books and scientific literature were reviewed;

- 3 new documents were discovered related to the topic of the project: “Kafiat fi tibb”, written by the doctor Rashid ad-din Hamadani for Arghun Khan (1251-1291), “Zubdat al-Kuhkhalin”, written for Ubidollah Khan Shiban (who is a new document that has never been reported before) assessed;

- an agreement has been concluded to establish mutual cooperation with the OMLRI Institute, EFL University, Nizamia Jamia Research Centers to create joint projects and conduct scientific research in the future.

Zubaida Shadkam concluded, “Hyderabad is one of the richest regions of India with ancient historical and cultural written heritage. In particular, all public and private funds and cultural heritage sites have special sections of works and books in Arabic, Persian and Urdu. 3 documents necessary for the research work of the project were found and received. The purpose of the business trip to the city of Hyderabad was fully achieved. In one city, Hyderabad, there are large and small collections of 18 manuscripts. During a business trip, we tried to look at the richest stocks."
