On May 20-21, 2021, the international scientific and practical conference "Kazakhstan and the Countries of the East: Past, Present, Future" was held, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The conference was held in a remote format via the Zoom platform. The purpose of the conference is to determine the role of the countries of the East in the formation of culture and civilization in Kazakhstan, to formulate the historical stages of political, economic and cultural contacts between Kazakhstan and the countries of the East from ancient times to the present, to consider the current state, problems and prospects of interaction between Kazakhstan and the countries of the East in the field of politics, economy, culture and education.
Objectives: To discuss the historical stages, cultural, linguistic and cultural contacts, the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Kazakhstan and the countries of the East.
The conference was attended by 96 people. Research papers are presented by researchers from various universities in Kazakhstan and other countries, namely: Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Japan, China, Iran, Pakistan and Egypt.
On May 20, a plenary session was held, which was attended by more than 68 people. 8 plenary reports were heard. Among them, it should be noted the reports of leading scientists, Doctor of Ph. D., Professor Derbisali Absattara, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Aldabek N. A., Director of the Institute of Asian Studies, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Kim G. N., Director of the R. B. Institute of Oriental Studies. Professor Duken Masimkhanuly, Director of the Center for the Study of Modern China, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Mukhametkhanuly N., Director of the Iran-Turan Center, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Islam Zhemeney and foreign guests Associate Professor Serdar Yilmaz (Turkey), Professor of Al-Azhar University Ali Ali Shaaban (Egypt), Dean of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Faculty of Osh University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Timur Kozukulov (Kyrgyzstan), Professor of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute the Institute of Elman Guliyev (Azerbaijan), Professor of the Osmanghazi University of Erdogan Boz, Visiting Professor of Ourang Izadi (Iran).
The work of 4 sections was organized, where 80 reports were heard, which reflect a wide range of issues related to various aspects of relations between Kazakhstan and the countries of the East. Foreign scientists from the University of Tsukuba (Japan), Central China Agricultural University (China), Punjab University (Pakistan) and visiting professors from Istanbul University (Turkey), Hanguk University of Foreign Languages (South Korea), Hacettepe University (Turkey) spoke at the sections.
On May 21, at 15.00, the closing ceremony of the international scientific and practical conference was held, which was attended by 65 people.
As a result of the conference, the following recommendations were formulated:
1. To recognize the relevance of the topic stated in the conference and considered within the sections of theoretical and practical issues of the development of relations between Kazakhstan and the countries of the East.
2. Support the need for regular conferences on the stated topic at least once every 2 years.
3. Recognize that the results of the conference can be applied in the fields of international relations, history, ethnography, philosophy, linguistics and literature.
4. Consider the need for testing the results of research in the fields of international relations, history, ethnography, philosophy, linguistics and literature.
5. Publish the results of the conference in the form of a collection of conference materials.
