April 2, 2021, as part of a series of events in connection with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence at the Department of Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after al-Farabi, together with the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak and the European Observatory Al-Marsad Al-Urubi (France) began III Republican methodological webinar for university teachers "FEATURES AND METHODS OF FUNCTIONAL LEARNING OF THE ARABIC LANGUAGE: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE IN ONLINE FORMAT", which will last until April 24, 2021.

The webinar, which has already become traditional at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after al-Farabi, gathered on the first day of work 76 participants, including professors, teachers, PhD students and undergraduates from different countries of the world, such as Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Egypt, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, as well as teachers of universities in Kazakhstan - ENU named after L. Gumilyov, KazNPU named after Abai, KazUIR & WL named after Abylaykhan, IKTU named after H. A. Yasawi, KSU named after Korkyt ata. The topics of lectures and discussions cover a wide range of methodological issues, including the formats of distance learning, online and offline learning that have become relevant recently, their features and capabilities in global and local dimensions. Participants will discuss what tools and methods should be implemented for new learning strategies in teaching Arabic to foreign language audiences. Particular attention, as always, deserves the processes of developing the skills and competencies of students, as well as teachers, because they are responsible for improving the quality of teaching and the use of all innovative technologies that should change the education system in general and the methods of teaching the Arabic language in particular.
