December 4, 2020 Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU named after Al-Farabi, Amirbekova Umitai Abdikapparovna, in order to conduct vocational guidance work, held an online meeting with students of the school-lyceum №178 of the Alatau district of Almaty. The meeting was held with the help of the head of educational work of the Lyceum Shazhabaeva Gulzhan Sauytovna and class teacher Baglan Akhanovna. Head of the Department of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East, PhD, Professor Lee Byong Jo was also invited to a meeting with students of the 9th grade. He told about the specific features of the Department of Korean Studies, the Department of the Far East and KazNU named after Al-Farabi, the scholarships awarded to foreign students by the Government of the Republic of Korea and the benefits of studying in Korea.

In turn, Amirbekova U.A., showed a presentation about KazNU named after Al-Farabi, gave information about the work, about the achievements of the university, spoke in more detail about the specialties and languages ​​studied at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. She introduced the students to the everyday life of the Department of the Far East through the videos. She also shared her thoughts on how every person should act with great consideration in the choice of a future profession, that even being within the walls of a school, everyone needs to properly plan their future, learn to recognize their abilities and determine their interests.
