On the 30th of October, this year, an online meeting was held with the staff of the Institute of Languages ​​and Culture of the M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Russian Federal University with teachers of the Department of Turksoy, Faculty of Oriental Studies. The purpose of the meeting is to develop educational and scientific space between the al-Farabi Kazakh National University  and the leading university of the Republic of Sakha.

The online meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty Ph.D Ykhtiyar Paltore, who expressed his gratitude to the participating scientists from Yakutia. Director of the Institute, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Gavril Torotoev told about academician M.K. Ammosov, and also shared plans for the development of education and science between the two universities. Head of the Department of "Yakut language", Ph.D. Dariya Chirkoeva briefly spoke about the history and modern achievements of the Yakut language. At the meeting, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Svetlana Prokopyeva showed special interest in the double-degree education program and expressed the hope that this goal will be achieved in the near future. Head of the Department of Turksoy, Ph.D Umit Kydyrbaeva answered the questions of Yakut scientists and declared her readiness for cooperation. The teaching staff of the Institute of Languages ​​and Culture Matrena Popova, Evdokia Sofronovna, Lyudmila Efimova, Anastasia Shamaeva were also glad to meet with the scientists of the Department of Turksoy and expressed confidence in joint work in the future. At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty Ph.D Ykhtiyar Paltore expressed support for the proposals and thanked all the participants for the meeting. 

The meeting was led by Marat Ryskulov, a senior lecturer of the department Türksoy, graduate of the North-Eastern Federal University.
