On September 3, 2020, the faculty of Oriental studies of al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting with PhD students in compliance with quarantine measures.

         The opening speech was made by the Dean of the faculty of Oriental studies Paltore Y., who congratulated the doctoral students of the 1st year of study and presented them to the management of the faculty.

         The meeting discussed the technique of writing a dissertation and questions about the timely defense of a doctoral dissertation. Deputy Dean of the faculty of Oriental studies K.T. Gabdullin explained the changes in the procedure for publishing articles for the defense of a doctoral dissertation.

         At the end of the meeting the head of the Department for Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies, candidate of political science Suleimenov P.M. explained the main directions of the address of the President of Kazakhstan Tokayev K.K. to the people of Kazakhstan.
