September 19, 2019, the signing ceremony of “Campus-in Campus” (CiC) contract between KazNU and Tsukuba University was held.

From the University of Tsukuba, Prof. Benton Caroline (Vice President of Global Affairs), Prof. Teruo Higashi, Prof. Masaki Ono (Humanities and Social Studies) attended the ceremony. From the Al-Farabi KazNU, rector G. M. Mutanov, Prof.T.S.Ramazanov (Vice-rector for research-innovation), Prof.A.Q.Hikmetov (Vice-rector for education), Ph.D.Paltore Yktiyar (Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty), invited professor Takashi Ninomiya (Oriental Studies) and others.

 The ceremony was followed by a speech of the rector of KazNU G.M.Mutanov: “After signing the memorandum of «Campus-in-Campus initiative» at February 2015, a delegation of the University of Tsukuba visited our university several times, and I am glad that today's signing ceremony took place here in Almaty. In the future, we will continue to work together under the content of the memorandum and improve relations between the two universities ”. The vice-rector of the University of Tsukuba, Prof. Benton said the words: “Congratulations on today's QS event! Currently, the University of Tsukuba is working to change the organization under the slogan "Image of the Future" We are considering introducing programs in English, facilitating the organizational transformation and internationalization in the university.” I am glad that the theme “Journey to World Leadership: The Harmony of Human Heritage and Advanced Technology” at QS Globalwide 2019 corresponds with the slogan of our university "Image of the Future".

From this cooperation agreement, we plan to develop research and education systemes in many areas (ex. Human sciences, social scicencs, life and engineering sicences)
