On September 2 of this year, the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Paltore Yktiyar Moldatoreuly, met with the first-year students in the 2nd training hall. The meeting was attended by the heads of departments, faculty, curators-advisers of the faculty. In his opening speech, the dean of the faculty Yktiyar Paltore congratulated students and teachers on the new academic year and introduced to first-year students the heads of departments, advisors, foreign professors and the commandant of student hostel No. 14.

The Dean noted that 2019 is a special year for Kazakhstanis - the Year of Youth, and that the faculty has all the opportunities for the formation of our youth as competitive, highly qualified specialists. He emphasized the role of the university in the development of spiritual, cultural, educational, professional development of youth, its participation in the decision-making process, successful socialization and their potential for the further development of the country. At the same time, the dean raised the issue of students' active participation in the educational process and public life of the faculty, as well as discipline and cleanliness within the walls of the university and in the student dormitory.

On behalf of the faculty, a professor of the Department of Sinology, Nabizhan Mukhametkhanuli also congratulated students on the beginning of the academic year and wished them to reach new heights. He emphasized the importance of serving his country through the study of foreign languages, especially Oriental, culture, history, religion, political and economic situation of the eastern countries.
