Between April 23 and May 4, at the Department of the Middle East and South Asia at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU, the director of the Arabic language center of Abdulaziz University (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia), PhD, professor Mutayr Hussain al-Maliki conducted a 72-hour course lectures on the topic "Actual problems of modern Arabic linguistics and innovative methods of teaching the Arabic language". 

25 April, at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Oriental Studies Faculty hosted the "Open Day" for schools graduates.

On April 21, 2018, the Faculty of Oriental Studies took part in the annual general celebration of Nauryz "Welcome, Az-Nauryz!", which was honored on the campus of al-Farabi KazNU. 

   April 17, 2018 from 17.00 to 18.00 at the Department of TURKSOY Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University Al-Farabi General Consul of the Republic of Turkey Riza Kagan Yilmaz held a consular hour on the theme "Friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey."

In period between 23.04.2018-06.05.2018 Professor Mutayr Hussein al-Maliki invited by Middle East and South Asia Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will provide for 72 hours of lectures on "Current issues in modern Arabic language and new innovative methods of teaching Arabic language"

The exhibition will be held on April 21, 2018 at the al-Farabi KazNU in the territory of KazNU in the sector of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. 

At the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan Rashad Mammadov Einaddinoglu. 

On April 17, 2018, a delegation led by rector of Shahid Beheshti University (Iran) Professor Seid Hasan Saduk arrived at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The guests of honor met with the rector of al-Farabi KazNU academician Galymkair Mutanov.

The Department of the Far East a year ago initiated negotiations with the participation of the First Vice-Rector M. Burkitbayev, where an agreement was reached on cooperation with the University of Bunkyou Gakuin (Japan).
