From 12 to 14 November 2018, a program was organized for diplomats of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation “Transnational threats, terrorism and security issues”. The program was conducted by the General Secretariat of the League and was held at the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by Head of the Department of Peace, Security and Conflict at the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, A. Bakaev and diplomatic officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, V. Ahsan. This program will have a good impact on the world of threats of terrorism and organized crime. On November 13, 2018 at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the organization of the Hindi and Urdu department, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad Kazi. With Mr. Ambassador came guests from the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Almaty Basit Saleem Shah, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Pakistan Rafiq Muhammad.
On September 13th at the Oriental Studies’ Faculty of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi the representative of the Japanese Embassy in Kazakhstan gave a lecture on «Japan in the period of high economic growth».
From November 12 to November 14, 2018, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will organize an event dedicated to the diplomats of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states. The event is attended by teachers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Middle East and South Asia. Teachers participate as translators, and students as volunteers.
