On the occasion of the 75th birthday of Yerengayip Omarov (Vice President of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of Kazakhstan), the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Development of Kazakhstan Science in the Field of Civilization" was held at the Kazakhstan National Library. 

On October 29, 1923, the creation of the Turkish Republic was joyfully revealed to the world. The Republic of Turkey was founded 100 years ago by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his associates.

On October 31, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies Fatimabibi Nogaykyzy Daulet organized a scientific seminar on the topic “Main trends and principles of modern linguistics.”

27th October 2023 - In a celebration of historical significance, students from the 1st to 4th year of the Turksoy Department came together to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. The event was held to pay tribute to the valiant heroes who played pivotal roles in Turkey's fight for independence, most notably Mustafa Kemal ATATURK, and to introduce the new first-year students to the rich history and culture of Turkey.

First-year students of the Department of Turksoy visited the Drama Theater named after M. Auezov in Almaty in order to enjoy the famous play “Romeo and Juliet”.

On October 24, within the framework of the goals of sustainable development, a meeting was held with the newly appointed Head of Department of Indology of the Department of Middle East and South Asia at the Faculty of Oriental Studies with Mr. Kothavade Swapnil Sharad, Consul General of the Republic of India in Almaty.

On October 24, 2023, at a ceremony organized on the occasion of Republic Day in the Al-Farabi Library of the Kazakh National University, special awards were presented to teachers of the Far East Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
