On November 07, 2023, at 12.00 o'clock, in BAZ-2 GUK-6, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Shoinbekova S.A. held an educational event (discussion) on the topic "Effective development of the Agro–industrial complex" with the 3rd year students of the specialty "06B05103 - Biotechnology". The event was held according to the schedule of the Roadmap of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology regarding for SDG 2 – Elimination of hunger. The event was started by opening speech of d.c.s., Professor Shoinbekova S.A. Then the students' reports were heard on these topics: "The problem of hunger, the search for its solution", "Opportunities and problems of agriculture, the role of agriculture in solving the problem of hunger eradication", "The contribution of biotechnology in solving the problems of hunger eradication". The students discussed with great interest the prospects for the development of agriculture, biotechnology, noting the problems that exist today, discussed the problems of the shortage of clean water, the feasibility of creating and using GMOs, chemical plant protection products, etc. An active discussion took place. The students noted that it is necessary to start small - yourself, that is, to treat water, the environment, food products, and the disposal of food waste with care and rationality. The students reacted very responsibly to the preparation and holding of this event: reports and presentations were competently prepared, they actively worked with literature, made posters, which is a good indicator of their professional level, showed personal qualities and patriotism.
