On February 22, 2023, at the Department of "Customs, Financial and Environmental Law" of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a 4th-year student of the educational program "Financial Law" Garipollayev Alisher, the champion of the international tournament TURKISH OPEN Para–G-1 2023 (Istanbul, Turkey), was honored.

Dean of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Baideldinov D.L., teachers of the Department of "Customs, Financial and Environmental Law", the Department of "Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics", as well as students of the Faculty of Law congratulated Alisher on his victory and wished him success at the 2024 Olympics.

Alisher Garipollayev was born on August 1, 2002 in Atyrau. At birth, he was diagnosed with a congenital anomaly of the right hand, then a certificate of disability from childhood was issued. From 2008 to 2019, he studied at a specialized technical gymnasium with an in-depth study of English. In 2019, he entered the Faculty of Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Alisher started practicing para-taekwondo in 2020. Thanks to perseverance and hard work, he achieved great success in sports in a short time. He is the Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the champion of the Spartakiad 2021, the silver medalist of the Championship of Kazakhstan 2022, the champion of the qualification tournament for the Asian Para Games 2022. (Sharjah, UAE), bronze medalist of the Asian Championship 2022. (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), champion of the Kazakhstan Cup 2023.

Successfully combining studies and sports, Alisher Garipollayev defends the honor of our university at high-level international para-taekwondo competitions. We are proud of our student!
