On 21-st of October, 2016 in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, there was hold a mini trial "International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - Republic of Kazakhstan" by 3 rd year students of the  International Relations Fuculty, speciality of international law in the framework of research work of students.

The aim of the event: to familiarize with the activities of one of the most important organizations in the international financial system - the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

 Main tasks:

• to review the structure and activities of the international financial system;

• to get acquainted in practice with the activities of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

• to evaluate the role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the international financial system.

International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) is a  Major credit institution of the World Bank. In the process, students were familiarized with the structure, bylaws, and the main directions of activity of the World Bank.  As a main method for the event was chosen a group work.

Students were divided into four groups  - as representatives of the World Bank, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Monetary Fund and the experts decide the question of the financing of the project of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the sphere of environmental protection. The project, presented by the Republic of Kazakhstan  was  analyzed strictly from an economic and financial side.All procedures were performed in accordance with the articles of the agreement and other requirements of the World Bank. As a result, mini process was finished with the procedure of signing a bilateral agreement.
