The results of the republican essay competition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entitled "In my own words: achievements and prospects for the development of the economy of Kazakhstan during the years of independence", organized by the Department of Economics of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, have been summed up. The competition was held from October 25 to November 25, 2021 among schoolchildren of grades 8-11 of educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the competition is to reveal the creative abilities of students, to select and support talented and gifted students; assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of youth; development of interest in scientific research; strengthening academic and friendships.

A total of 57 works were received from different regions of Kazakhstan. The 6 best works were selected by the commission. The selection criteria were originality, one's opinion, the ability to logically construct sentences and literacy of presentation.

The winners were awarded on December 3 on the ZOOM platform. The winners of the competition are:
