Almaty hosted a futsal tournament among universities and colleges of the city

As a result of the tournament, the team of the Almaty Technical-Economic College of Railways "Temir Tulpar" became the winner, which in the final beat the team of the Kazakh University of Railways Communication "Lokomotiv" with a score of 4:3. The bronze winner of the tournament was a team of students from the Department of Economics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

- We are very glad that we are in the top three futsal teams in the city. Thanks to the organization committee for such a futsal festival. Hope that such tournaments will be held yearly, - a student of the specialty "Digital Economy" (KazNU Al-Farabi) Smagul Zhandos.

 

The winners and prize-winners were awarded certificates, as well as a cup for the first place. In addition, the best players received diplomas in the following nominations: "Best Player" - Minnadyger Garif, "Best Young Player" - Serikbay Khanzat, "Best Scorer" - Pernebek Danial, "Best Goalkeeper" - Dmitry Burdanov, "Best Defender" - Amanzholov Yeldos , "Best Midfielder" - Akanuly Darkhan and "Best Forward" - Kydyrbaev Agytay.

A new direction for the development of Kazakhstan in the context of political and economic changes in the world

Looking into the future of Kazakhstan

Independence has been the eternal dream and goal of many nations and peoples. Our ancestors also said that «there will be no country without being independent,» and they dreamed that their people, who owned this vast steppe, would become an independent country. President Kassym-Zhomart Kemeluly Tokayev has chosen the day of the adoption of the declaration «On State Sovereignty» of the Kazakh SSR as an official holiday. Independence is important because it elevates the spirit of a nation, provides a basis for its independence, clarifies its future, and allows it to draw moral lessons from its past.

Fair Economy: priorities of socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Department of «Economics» of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a republican round table on November 10, 2022 with the participation of undergraduates of the L.M.Gumilev Eurasian National University on the topic "Fair Economy: priorities of socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The round table was attended by 2nd year undergraduates of the specialty "Economics" named after L. M. Gumilev: Eleusiz A. K., Bauyrzhan Zh., Eleusinova A. B., Didarovna K., Isaev A., Ospan K., Zhuravlev A. F., Korolev P. O. During the round table, participants shared their views on the issues of "fair Kazakhstan", "fair society", "fair economy".

Currently, citizens' incomes are much lower compared to our economic potential. This situation has developed mainly due to the lack of large-scale processing of raw materials in Kazakhstan. Therefore, we ensure the supply of raw materials available for business for the production of finished products. In a fair Kazakhstan, decent conditions will be created for any small, medium and large business that complies with the requirements of the law. Permanent jobs will be created in all sectors of the economy. Special attention is paid to the integrated development of the entire region.

The Future of Kazakhstan in My Dreams

From October 13 to October 22, 2022, the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business held a republican essay competition dedicated to the Republic Day, entitled "The Future of Kazakhstan in My Dreams" among schoolchildren of grades 8-11.

The purpose of the competition is to reveal the creative abilities of pupils, select and support talented pupils; assist in the formation of the intellectual potential of young people; development of interest in scientific research; strengthen academic and friendly relations.

A total of 43 papers were received from 7 regions of Kazakhstan (Almaty city, East Kazakhstan region, Aktobe region, Mangystau region, Abay region, Almaty region, Pavlodar region). The works were accepted in three languages, 40% of the works were written in Russian, 35% in Kazakh, and 25% in English.

A competition commission was created among the teachers of the Department of Economics, which selected the best works according to the following criteria: originality, own opinion, ability to logically build sentences, and literacy.

On October 22, the winners of the competition were awarded online. Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business Bimendiyeva Leyla Abdrashevna awarded the winners with nominal diplomas.

II place - Orazbekova Alina Kazbekovna, 9th grade of the school for talented children "Zerde" of the city of Ekibastuz, Pavlodar region;

II place – Marat Aizhan, 9th grade of secondary school No. 1 of the city of Aktau, Mangystau region;

III place - Fedorova Ilona, 10th grade of gymnasium No. 46 of Almaty city;

III place - Kenizbayeva Fatima Altaevna, 8th grade of secondary school No. 19 of the city of Aktobe, Aktobe region;

III place - Akasheva Yerkezhan, 9th grade of secondary school No. 35 in the city of Semey, Abay region.

In addition to nominal diplomas, the winners were awarded prizes with the logo of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. All participants of the competition received participation certificates.

The project "100 books" - novel "Gone with the Wind"

As part of the implementation of the project "100 books", students of the specialty "Economics", with the adviser G.K. Andabaeva, held a curatorial hour on the work of Margaret Mitchell "Gone with the Wind". The famous novel by American Margaret Mitchell "Gone with the Wind" was published in 1936 and immediately became a world bestseller. Until 1937, when the novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, it was reprinted 31 times, and in 1939 a film adaptation of the same name was released, which made the image of the main character almost a cult. This grandiose literary epic has become a symbol of an entire era, because it not only describes the life of the southern states of the USA in the 1860s, but also sings a hymn to human resilience and courage
