On October 30, 2022, within the framework of the program "Days of Nazarbayev University in Almaty", a meeting with scientists of Nazarbayev University took place. Scientist Yertay Rakhmanov and foreign Associate Professor Syed Ali met with young scientists and students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Students of the 4th year and 3rd year (abbreviated workers) of the Kazakh department of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" undergo pedagogical practice on the basis of secondary school No. 124 in Almaty. On March 12, 2022, the championship of Kazakhstan in sports and combat sambo ended in the city of Semey.
The tournament was dedicated to the memory of Kerey Koishybek - Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Worker of Arts and Sports of the CIS, head coach of the Kazakhstan national team, world champion in judo, "Academician of Sambo".
From February 24 to March 4, 2022, the Asian Fencing Championship among juniors and cadets was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), where the strongest athletes of the continent gathered, who fought for the title of the best fencer in Asia. At these competitions, a 1st year student of the Faculty of Medicine and Health with a degree in Physical Culture and Sports Nurumov Galym won 3rd place. Representatives of more than 25 countries took part in the prestigious competitions of the year.
From February 26 to February 27, 2022, the Open Judo European Cup was held in Warsaw (Poland). At these competitions, a 1st year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" Bilal Bolat won a bronze medal in the 66 kg weight category.
In Tel Aviv (Israel), the international judo tournament of the Grand Slam series has ended. Success was achieved by a 3rd year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" Narbaev Bauyrzhan in the weight category up to 60 kg, losing in the final to the Ukrainian Artem Lesiuk, having won silver.
The tournament was held from 17 to 19 February 2022.
On February 18, 2022, a major international shooting tournament ended in Kuwait City (Kuwait). At these competitions, a 1st-year undergraduate student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" Malinovsky Konstantin became the champion.
On February 10, 2022, from 10.00-18.00, in online format was held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Physical Culture and Sports in the Educational System: Experience and Prospects for Development" for university teachers, school teachers, students and young scientists.
From December 24 to 26, 2021, an international weightlifting tournament was held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) for the prizes of four-time world champion, two-time European champion, Olympic champion, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Kanybek Osmonoliev. According to the results of the tournament, Seitkazy Elaman, a 1st year student of the Faculty of Medicine and Health with a degree in Physical Culture and Sports, took the 1st place in the 81 kg weight category with a score of 310 kg.
From November 22 to November 25, 2021, the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in kumite (karate) was held in Uralsk. The best in the 68 kg weight category was the 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" Albina Kulbaeva, who took 1st place.
