On the eve of «Nauryz Holiday» the students of group 301 studying in the specialty: «Kazakh Philology» at A. Baitursynov Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology arranged an unforgettable meeting with the famous Kazak poet, the first deputy chairman of the Writers’ Union and State Prize «Daryn» winner, Akberen Yelgezek.

They showed a huge interest in Akbergen Yelgezbek’s poems because this poet demonstrated a quivering attitude towards Kazakh poetry. The poet mentioned that the questions addressed to him by Philology Faculty students were interesting, indicating their high professional skills. The answers to these questions immersed him in an engrossing discussion. During the meeting students sang some songs written by their beloved poet, Akberen Yelgezek. The Professors, Doctors of Philology, A. Salkynbay, D. Alkebayeva, O. Zhubayev, PhD students and master’s degree of A. Baitursynov Department of Kazakh Linguistics were also invited to this event. This meeting was full of warm memories, rich-life experience and spiritual values. The students expressed their gratitude to the poet. When the meeting was over the poet presented his autograph books to the students.
