Seminar of Dr. Nadir Ilkhan "Methods of Studying Historical Texts"

The guest of the seminar was the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the University of Kirsehir Ahi Evran (Turkey), Prof. Dr. Nadir ILKHAN, organized by the Department of Türksoy of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Research Center "Monuments of Writing and Spiritual Heritage". On April 23, 2021, our guest of honor held an online seminar for students, undergraduates and doctoral students on topic “ Methods of Studying Historical Texts”.

During the seminar, special attention was paid to the concept of historical texts and general information about general historical texts of the Turkish language, written in different alphabets.

Nadir Ilkhan also pointed that the Turkic languages ​​are one of the richest languages ​​in the world in terms of historical texts and that there are no other people who did not have historical texts one hundred and fifty years ago. He noted that the Turkic languages ​​have a rich heritage written in different alphabets since ancient times, and we should pay attention to the importance of collecting manuscripts in certain centers.

At the end of the seminar, the head of the Department of Turksoy PhD U. T. Kydyrbaeva thanked our guest and presented a letter of gratitude on behalf of the dean of the Faculty.
