POEMS OF THE SUFI POET OF CHAGATAI LITERATURE SHAH MASHRAB FOUND AMONG RARE COLLECTIONS OF MANUscriptS IN THE LIBRARY OF KAZNU

In the library, among the rare collections of manuscripts, there are 362 manuscripts of rare books and manuscripts in Arabic. 180 manuscripts were written in Arabic, 100 in Persian and 82 in Chagatai.

The research center "Writing Monuments and Spiritual Heritage" at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of KazNU is currently working on these manuscripts. The center rewrites and translates these manuscripts. In addition, students and doctoral students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU study manuscripts in the Chagatai language as a dissertation. So, the research center “Monuments of writing and spiritual heritage” at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of KazNU intends to introduce these manuscript books into scientific circulation. Historians and philologists can also use these manuscripts as scientific topics.

In the library of KazNU there are several handwritten books of the Sufi poet of the Chagatai literature Shah Mashrab. Mashrab is a poet of the last period of Chagatai literature. There are also songs written in Arabic and Persian. The main theme of his poetry is love. God's love and human love were an integral part of his poetry.

The manuscript books of Shah Mashrab are registered in the library at the Kazakh National University among rare manuscripts numbered No. 4, 18, 27, 28, 36.
