X International Beremzhanov Congress on Chemistry and Chemical Technology
The Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry was the main organizer of the X International Beremzhanov Congress on Chemistry and Chemical Technology (October 24-25, 2019, al-Farabi KazNU). The congress was attended by over 200 scholars from Kazakhstan, near and far abroad, representing more than 70 universities, as well as scientific and industrial organizations. More than 100 scientific reports were presented at plenary and breakout sessions in the following areas: "Modern problems of processing mineral raw materials", "Chemistry and technology of inorganic substances and materials", "Chemistry and technology of organic substances and materials", "Chemical physics of combustion processes, materials science, nanomaterials ”,“ Modern problems of hydrocarbon processing ”. Within the framework of the plenary session, a panel discussion entitled “Ways to integrate education, science and production” was held with the participation of representatives of the university environment, research institutes, and also heads of production enterprises. At the congress, it was decided to create the Republican Public Association “Kazakhstan Chemical Society”.
