As you know, the training of competitive specialists, the combination of Science and production, the introduction of progressive solutions of domestic science into the production sector are among the most important tasks set by the President.In this regard, on the basis of a contract concluded between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Semizbay U LLP, 4th year students of the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics Esbergen Zhandaulet and Meirambekova Nuray passed production and pre – graduate practice at the «Semizbay U» mine in Akmola region.

Berik Sagitzhanov, teacher of the Department of mechanics, Faculty of mechanics and mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 3rd year doctoral student of the specialty robotic systems, was awarded the medal and diploma "Best researcher-2023" of the I degree from an international conference with 16 foreign countries in 21 scientific areas.

From March 3 to March 31, 2023, Associate Professor of the University of Lorraine (Nancy, France) Julia Mainka remotely taught classes to first–year undergraduates of the educational program "7M05405 - Mechanics and Power Engineering" of the Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the discipline "Thermodynamics of energy systems".

On April 12, 2023, students of kaznu took part in the international scientific conference “Science and education-2023”, organized by Gumilyov Eurasian National University as part of the day of science.

Abdidin A.N., 4th year students of the Department of "Mechanics" KazNU. al-Farabi, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. and Momysh N.B. took part in the section "Trends of innovative development in the field of mechanical engineering and energy" of this conference and took 2nd place.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics of the Al – Farabi Kazakh National University Jamalov Nutpulla Kamalovich was awarded for his honorable work and conscientious work on the path of prosperity, making a significant contribution to the development of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Conference of young scientists and students "Farabi Alemi" was held offline at the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The winners were determined in the sections ''Continuum Mechanics'', "theoretical and Applied Mechanics"," Space Technology and technologies".

Within the framework of pedagogical practice, 1st year undergraduates of the specialty “Мechanics and energy” held an open lesson on the topics: “17 goals of Sustainable Development”, “Clean water and sanitation”, “Combating climate change”, “Affordable and clean energy sources”, “Earthquake”, “Responsible consumption and production”, and “Malyukov I. D.”.

On April 6, 2023, the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics hosted an international scientific conference of students and young scientists on the sections of continuum mechanics, theoretical and applied mechanics, space technology and technologies "Farabi Alemi".

In the competition of business projects student-business incubator (SBI), the 2nd year master's student of the Department of mechanics of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics Azil Zamanbek took part in the business project "Temirqanat" and took the 3rd place.
