My name is Sailau Hakim, this year I graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In the end of 2022 year, I received the opportunity to participate in a study program in Japan and studied for a full year at one of the best higher education institutions in Japan, Waseda University in Tokyo. While I was in Japan, I received a MEXT scholarship, which covered tuition, health insurance, and airfare. There is a strict selection process for this scholarship and due to my studies at the university, I was successfully selected for this program. Waseda University, where I studied, is one of the foremost universities in Japan and has a deep history of academic excellence, and many famous figures from the Land of the Rising Sun have graduated from it. At university, I studied mainly Japanese language and culture, which later helped me improve my knowledge and skills in this area. In my free time, I traveled around Japan and became personally acquainted with the rich Japanese history. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit Japanese high schools and give presentations on Kazakh culture, which the students seemed to really enjoy. If you are a Japanese language student, I highly recommend trying to enroll in a Japanese university and expand your knowledge of the language, history, and culture of the country you are studying. Finally, I want to thank the leadership of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and teachers for their invaluable support and assistance in the process of enrollment and study at a Japanese university.
