On Wednesday, November 29, 4th year students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an open lesson on the nuances of article headlines in the Korean press and the difficulties of translating them. Lesson participants plunged into the fascinating world of language and culture, discussing the peculiarities of the structure and choice of words in Korean titles, as well as aspects of their translation into Russian.

Students presented the results of their research by analyzing examples of headlines from various Korean press publications and identifying the main characteristics that make them so unique. The presentation highlighted the difficulties translators face in conveying the meaning and style of Korean titles into other languages.

The open lesson became a striking example of the active research work of students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, emphasizing the importance of understanding the cultural characteristics of the language for successful interaction and translation of texts.
