I, Erkebulanova Aitolkyn Erkebulankyzy, from March 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023, was on a one-semester academic mobility study tour at Sookmyeon Women's University located in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The main purpose of this study tour is an in-depth study of the Korean language, in addition, acquaintance with Korean culture, studying the traditions, cultural characteristics of this country and getting to know the ethnic mentality and way of life.

At Sookmyung Women's University, I had the opportunity to study not only with international students, but also with Korean students, and learned from experienced Korean language teachers. I studied Korean not only in class, but also used my knowledge in everyday life. As a result, my knowledge of the Korean language has improved significantly.

What surprised me about Korea was its unique culture, language, traditions, way of thinking, natural heritage, outstanding achievements in science, medicine, engineering, technology and shipbuilding. At the same time, my love for Korea began to expand, thanks to which in 4 months I learned about Korean domestic cinema, composers, visited a concert of famous pop stars «ATEEZ» and, of course, read fairy tales that are always on the lips of Koreans and met with cosmetics that delight people with their innovations.

In the 4 months allotted to me, I learned a lot and felt a lot. During this time at Sookmyeon Women's University, I became accustomed to communicating with students from abroad not only in Korean, but also in English.

In conclusion, I am confident that I will be able to achieve new achievements thanks to the education I received in Korea. The academic mobility program has provided such great opportunities. I am grateful to the faculty members of the Far East Department at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, who give students a great opportunity to study in Korea and learn from their experiences.
