On September 22, 2023, at the Department of the Far East (Department of Korean Studies), an event was held on the theme «Meeting between sunbae and hoobae», aimed at first-year students.

The event was prepared under the leadership of visiting professor Lee Beng Jo and with the support of department advisers Shatekova G., Sermukhametova B.B., Begalieva M., Saylaukenova A. In addition to first-year students, this event was also attended by 2nd and 3rd year students, as well as students’ academic mobility program in Korea. 2nd and 3rd year students spoke about their student life at the university, and exchange students, in particular, spoke in detail to 1st and 2nd year students about their study abroad in Korea through a video message. Thanks to this event, students were able to get closer to each other, and in addition, they were able to share a lot of useful information necessary for life in the Department.
