From July 30 to August 3 and August 13 to 19, 2023, the visiting professor of the Department of the Far East of the Al-Farabi KazNU Lee Byong Jo took part in the historical excursion program with students of Korean universities. There were two delegations from Korea in the amount of only 90 people. The tour included students from about 20 universities in Korea, students took a tour of historical places in Kazakhstan (Almaty, Ushtobe, Kyzylorda), associated with Koreans (Koryoin) and anti-Japanese patriots who fought for the independence of Korea at the beginning of the 20th century in the Russian Far East. Today, there are quite a few traces of patriots left in Kazakhstan, such as houses, graves, monuments, etc. As a specialist-researcher in this field, visiting professor Lee Byong Jo provided the participants of the program with useful information in all historical places.
