From August 14 to 26, 2022, the visiting professor of the Department of the Far East of the Al-Farabi KazNU Lee Byong Jo took part in the historical excursion program with students of Korean universities. The tour included students from about 20 universities in Korea, students took a tour of historical places in Kazakhstan (Almaty, Ushtobe, Kyzylorda), associated with Koreans (Koryoin) and anti-Japanese patriots who fought for the independence of Korea. Today, there are quite a few traces of patriots left in Kazakhstan, such as houses, graves, monuments, etc. As a specialist in this field, visiting professor Lee Byong Jo provided the participants of the program with useful information in all historical places.
