On September 24, 2021, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-FarabiKazNU an annual event “Meeting between Sonbe and Hube” (meeting-acquaintance of students of the Department of Korean Studies) was held for students of the Department of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East.

In the event was attended by all students of the department, graduates of The Department of the Far East, who work abroad (LG company, Poland), alumni who studying under the GKS grant program in South Korea, graduates of the Double Master Degree Program, and students from South Korean universities.

Each course prepared original musical performances and congratulatory speeches. This was how an event was held to introduce senior students to freshmen. Thanks to the hard work of teachers and curators-advisers of the Department of the Far East. Every year the students’ fraternity is strengthening, which helps to achieve not only academic excellence and the international level competitions, but also to shape spiritual development of young people.

Notably, this year’s student initiation took place on the ZOOM online platform. Because of the online meeting all the students of the department became friends and they wished each other success in the new academic semester.
