The celebration of the traditional Korean holiday "Chuseok" took place on the offline platform, under the guidance of an invited professor Lee Byong Jo and advisers (A. Sailaukenova and M. Begalieva) on 21st September, 2021. It was attended by students of the Department of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East.

Chuseok is a wonderful family holiday in Korea, celebrated on August 15th according to the lunar calendar. This year in Korea, Chuseok was celebrated from the 18th September to the 22nd September. Usually during Chuseok, many Koreans go to their hometowns and celebrate their favourite holiday with their family and relatives, but due to the pandemic, there was no feeling of the holiday at all.

Every year, the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies), holds a funny event in honour of Chuseok, but despite the current situations, the event was held offline this year, observing the quarantine rules during epidemics. The students tasted some Korean traditional sweets (Incholmi, Kkultok) and had a fun time. During the event, the advisers spoke about Chuseok in details, about the peculiarities of the main Korean holiday not only in Korea, but also in Kazakhstan, therefore, the students received useful informations about the holiday.
