On March 14, 2018, the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of аl-Farabi KazNU convened a meeting with a Head of Sector of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan G.N. Shoikin and the Head of the Directorate of Religious Affairs of Almaty A.R. Esenbekov. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Social Development of al-Farabi KazNU Jamanbalayeva Sh.E., Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Professor A.R. Massalimova, teaching stuff, PhD doctorates and undergraduates of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies. The Head of the Religious and Cultural studies department, Professor A.D. Kurmanaliyeva read out the report on theme: «Religious experts in Christian theology», «Religious experts on new religious movements» and the high quality of employment of graduates, in connection with the new challenges of the modern world. In addition, it was noted about the training of specialists in religious studies at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. During the meeting, acute and pressing issues of religion were raised, and problems were discussed on the development and improvement of the quality of textbooks and books on religious studies.
