On September 13, 2023, at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, a seminar was held for 1st-year PhD students of the faculty as part of the orientation week. This seminar allowed PhD students of the faculty to become familiar with the process of preparing PhD doctoral students, which reflects the objectives of SDG 4 – quality education. Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation Activities and International Relations Rysmagambetova A.A. introduced for PhD students to the main criteria for organizing doctoral research work. During the seminar, issues of preparing PhD students’ portfolios, timely updating of the individual work plan for a doctoral student and copies of the articles in the portfolio; timely updating of publications in the science databases (https://science.kaznu.kz) and ORCID (https://orcid.org/) were discussed.
