From October 17 to September 19, 2023, Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for scientific and innovation activities Zh.N. Aitzhanova and scientists from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences PhD, acting associate professor D.K. Shokparova, PhD, acting associate professor S.B. Bisenbaeva participate in the International Forum on Sustainable Development of Ecology and the Environment in the Economic Belt of the Silk Road, which takes place in Urumqi, China. This event brought together more than 300 participants from 21 countries. During the event, special attention was paid to the issues of preserving the ecosystem, biodiversity, the development of eco-culture in the participating countries, the creation of platform laboratories aimed at studying and preserving biodiversity and ecosystems. The work was carried out in 6 sections, which covered various topics, such as biodiversity, water resources, land degradation, green technologies, theories and practices.

The result of the forum will be the signing of a declaration (agreement) between the participating countries and the development of an action plan for the development of green technologies and a green economy.

During his stay in Urumqi, Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities Zh.N. Aitzhanova visited Xinjiang Medical University and met with the President of this organization. During the meeting, issues of joint cooperation in the framework of training specialists at various levels, conducting scientific research and many issues were discussed.
