On November 22 2021 teachers and students of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the seminar "Waste Management and Hazardous Chemicals in Kazakhstan: new requirements, restrictions and challenges" organized by the Center for Sustainable Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The seminar discussed issues and individual requirements of the new Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the activities of the Republic to fulfill obligations within the framework of meeting the requirements of world initiatives and many others.

The seminar was attended by the management and representatives of the Department of Ecology of Almaty, the Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as managers of various UNDP projects in Kazakhstan.
