On December 11-12, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics organized an international scientific and practical conference "X Zhandayev Readings" "Geographical Science of Kazakhstan in the Modern World" in offline and online formats. The conference began with the opening speech of the Faculty Dean V.Salnikov and continued with the memoirs of the scientist's wife Mukatay Zhandayev Nazira Badretdinovna and Professor L.Veselova about the scientist. Evgeny Levin, professor at Michigan Technological University (USA) and other foreign scientists from near and far abroad presented presentations and reports. The conference was attended by over 100 professors, students and undergraduates, young scientists. The event has become a great project for every science seeker.
