April 18, 2019 at the University KazNU named after Al-Farabi took place the "Open Day" of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science. The event was attended by a student of the Almaty Regional College of Innovative Technologies in the Field of Nutrition with the curator-teacher of history Laila Tulbaeva Abdullaevna with invitation of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies.
On April 16, at the next meeting of the Department of Philosophy, Associate Professor of Philosophical science, M. Boretsky held a methodical seminar on the topic "Kazakhstan Cinema: Territory of Thoughts".
On the eve of the Nauryz holiday, the Department of Philosophy became the “Best Department” of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and took the second place.
On April 10, 2019 at the library of the KazNU was held an international scientific conference: «Spiritual Revival – 2 years». «Symbols, artifacts, monuments of culture of the Great Steppe». During the conference there was a presentation and discussion of textbooks of a new generation in cultural studies of the department of religious studies and cultural studies. PhD doctoral student of the 2nd course of the specialty "Religious studies" Kamalova F.B. took part in this event.
1st place was taken by students of the specialty "Philosophy" at the Olympiad in Philosophy held at the Eurasian University named after L. N. Gumilev
In the project “Project X”, organized by the scientific community of students of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, first-year students of the Department of Philosophy took first place.
In the framework of the VI International Farabi forum "al-Farabi and modernity" was held Republican competition of philosophical essay "the seven faces of the great Steppe: a philosophical analysis".
At the international scientific conference of students and young scientists "Фараби әлемі" the research project of a first-year student of the philosophy specialty Karimov Damir was recognized as the best project and won the first place.
On April 2, 2019, at the 1st sectional meeting of the Great Thinkers of the Great Steppe of the Farabi International Forum “Al-Farabi and the Present”, Prof. Ali Rafet Ozkan of the University of Kastamonu spoke on the topic “Modern Islamophobia in the West”.
On April 2, 2019, the opening of the Al-Farabi and the Present International Farabi Forum took place at the Kazakh National University as part of the VI International Farabi Conference. The opening ceremony was attended by PhD doctoral 2nd year specialty "religious Studies" F. B. Kamalova and her foreign supervisor – Vice-rector of the University of Kastamonu (Turkey), Professor Ali Rafet Ozkan.
