On October 17, 2019, foreign students of the Department of Language and General educational of foreigners of Faculty of Pre-University Education, studying Kazakh and Russian languages, together with the curators-advisors took an active part in the festive presentation - dedication to the students of the KazNU.
On October 14, 2019 at 20.00 in the Assembly hall of the hostel No.14 teachers of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held an open curatorial event "ABC of health". At the event, teachers reminded students about the need to comply with the basic rules of sanitation and hygiene.
On October 14-18, 2019 "International friendship Club" of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held "Days of culture of Japan". The program included an open curatorial hour "The land of the rising Sun", watching a Japanese film, organizing a round table on "Musical culture of Japan", as well as a photo exhibition with views of Japan. Japanese students studying at the Faculty took an active part in the process of preparation and holding of the "Days of culture of Japan".
On October 5, 2019, curators-advisors of the Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held an open curatorial hour "Hello, Kazakhstan!". During the event, foreign students of primary education received country-specific information about the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On October 5-7, 2019, the II Erazi school of cultural diplomacy "Education. Innovations. Languages", organized by the representation of Rossotrudnichestvo In the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Resource center of multilingual education of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi. The school of cultural diplomacy was attended by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Konstantin Vorobiev, Advisor to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Koropchenko, leading scientists of Russian and Kazakh universities. Speeches of Russian and Kazakh linguists were devoted to linguistic paradigms of modern educational space. The School held a discussion with the participation of University teachers and school teachers of Shymkent and South Kazakhstan region "Modern humanitarian education: how and what to teach children." During the discussion, further prospects for the development of the project "Eurasian school of cultural diplomacy"were identified. The work of the II Erazi school of cultural diplomacy " Education. Innovations. Languages", which gathered under the arches of the Shymkent Palace of schoolchildren more than 80 people-teachers of urban and rural schools, teachers of Shymkent universities, as well as participants from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Petropavlovsk-was fruitful, interesting and showed the feasibility of such events. The work of the School took place on the eve of Teacher's Day and was a wonderful gift for all teachers and educators.
Department of Language and General educational of foreigners of Faculty of Pre-University Education congratulated on the 10th anniversary of the Confucius Institute at al-Farabi KazNU. 28 September 2019 foreign students under the guidance of curators-advisors of the Department, the faculty leadership participated in a solemn event dedicated to the anniversary, which was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps of China and first Vice-rector of al-Farabi KazNU mr. M.M.Burkitbayev.
On September 18, 2019, foreign students of the Department of Language and General educational of foreigners of Faculty of Pre-University Education, studying Kazakh and Russian languages, together with curators-advisors took an active part in the International student festival within the framework of the «Global summit of world universities».
From the 9th to the 14th of September 2019, Department of Language and general education of foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education held a "Week, devoted to Day of languages of peoples of Kazakhstan". During the various educational activities (curator hours, round tables, discussions, meetings) students, studying the Kazakh and Russian languages, have received exhaustive information about the history of this date as well as on the language policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On April 21, 2019, foreign students studying at the Department of Language and General educational of foreigners of Faculty of Pre-University Education took an active part in “Almaty Marathon 2019”.
On April 20, 2019, foreign students studying at the Department of Language and General educational of foreigners of Faculty of Pre-University Education took an active part in football competitions for the Cup of the Dean of the FDO. The team of students of the Department took 2nd place.
