GIS in Central Asia Conference GISCA 2023

The 2023 GIS-in-Central-Asia Conference continues the tradition of GISCA conferences and again will be held as an on-site conference at the Kyrgyz State Technical University in Bishkek in the period 29.05.2023 – 02.06.2023.

The GISCA conference has been held annually since 2005. The organizers of the GISCA conference are the Director Austrian-Central Asian Center ACA*GIScience Professor Josef Strobl, with the support of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Eurasian-Pacific University Network (Eurasia-Pacific Uninet). After experiences with a regionally distributed multi-hub format in previous years, Kyrgyz State Technical University are glad to invite everyone to meet in person and will welcome contributions by regional (i.e. Almaty, Dushanbe, Tashkent and Urumqi) as well as international partners!

As part of the conference on May 29, 2023 at 10:00-14:00 at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of KazNU. Al-Farabi in the Distance Learning room B4 3A will host master classes and trainings with the participation of the Director of the International Center for GIS and Geoinformatics of the University of Salzburg, Austria, Professor Thomas Blaschke and Erika Blaschke.
