The work of the commission on the rehabilitation of victims of political repression under the akimat of Almaty


Today, on March 29 of this year, Doctor of Law Zabikh Sholpan Arapbaykyzy (Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law of KazNU named after al-Farabi) took part in the on-line mode of the Internet platform Zoom as a member of the commission on the rehabilitation of victims of political repression under the akimat of the city of Almaty chaired by the deputy akim of the city of Almaty Yerzhan Zhalbakovich Babakumarov. The commission included representatives of the prosecutor's office, the National Security Committee, the police, heads of the communal state institution of the departments of culture, social development, social welfare of the city of Almaty, prominent scientists of Kazakhstan, deputies of the maslikhat and heads of some media outlets.
Yerzhan Babakumarov acquainted with the main tasks, functions and powers of the city commission, including the development of proposals for the completion of work on the restoration of historical justice in relation to the victims of political repression, rehabilitation of all categories of victims of repression; development and submission of proposals to the State Commission for the complete rehabilitation of victims of political repressions on the development of normative legal acts for the legal and political rehabilitation of victims of political repression; formation of a list of categories of victims of political repression in Kazakhstan who are not actually rehabilitated. A work plan for this state commission has been developed, which covers a wide range of issues related to the implementation of the assigned tasks, including the collection of documents in the archives of the near and far abroad. An exchange of views took place between the participants of the event and proposals were made to improve joint work.
Thus, important questions were raised before the commission to restore historical justice and return to the people the noble names of their sons and daughters.
