Scientific-educational and consulting center "Legal support for innovative development of Kazakhstan" of the Department of Civil law and Civil procedure, Labor law

 

A scientific-educational and consulting Center "Legal Support for the Innovative Development of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a structural subdivision of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (hereinafter referred to as the University), operating on a self-financing basis.

The center was created by the order of the rector No. 57 of 12.04.2012. Based on the decision of the Academic Council of the al-Farabi  Kazakh National University afterdated 02.09.2013, protocol No. 1, by order of the rector No. 378 dated 21.10.2013. the name of the Center was changed from "Problems of Intellectual Property Rights" to "Legal Support for the Innovative Development of Kazakhstan"

Objectives, subject of the Center

  The opening of the Center is due to the need for the departments to implement the accumulated scientific and educational, research potential and increase the efficiency and practical significance of their activities, as well as the gradual transformation of the university into a research one.
        The objectives of the Center are:
- implementation of the accumulated scientific and educational, research potential of scientists, teaching staff and students of the faculty, through the conclusion of economic contracts with legal entities and individuals;
-organization and coordination of scientific research work of the teaching staff together with business structures, industrial and other enterprises;
- approbation of R&D results and ensuring the country's gradual transition to a knowledge-based economy.
The subject of the Center's activities is the conduct of scientific and educational work, consulting and other types of services in the following main areas:
- direction 1 scientific and educational activities, participation in the implementation of research projects on topical issues of civil, civil procedure and labor law on budgetary and contractual bases, grant bases;
- direction 2 organization, holding and participation in scientific events (competitions, grants, conferences, congresses, internships, etc.) ;;
- direction 3, scientific and expert activities, conducting scientific and legal examinations with the issuance of conclusions;
- direction 4 advanced training, training courses, business trainings.
- direction 5 activities for the provision of legal services.
The faculty members, scientists, students, undergraduates and doctoral students with the involvement of specialists and students from other research institutes, educational institutions, interdepartmental laboratories and organizations on contractual terms within the framework of the relevant concluded business contracts can be involved in the implementation of the Center's work.


Seminars and trainings

 
The center conducts educational seminars and trainings, including as part of advanced training for practicing lawyers.
Since 2013, the Center has been conducting quarterly training seminars for practicing notaries on the topics "The practice of applying civil law in notarial practice", "Transactions in notarial practice: issues of registration and invalidation of transactions", "Contract law. Application practice ", etc.
Seminars were held on the topics "Legislation on intellectual property: court practice and current legal issues" for judges, court specialists, prosecutors, organized by the al-Farabi Kazakh National University  together with the courts, the prosecutor's office of Almaty. Seminars on topical problems of the application of housing legislation for employees of Almaty turgyn uy LLP under the advanced training program of the Scientific Research Center "Legal support for the innovative development of Kazakhstan" KazNU named after al-Farabi.

Online seminars on advanced training for teachers of civil law disciplines in universities under the advanced training program of the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Kazakh National University. al-Farabi under the "Civil Law" "Intellectual Property Law" programs.

Training seminars on the topic "Conclusion, amendment, termination of contracts: legislation and practice", "Features of contractual work in organizations", "Corporate law", "Claims and claims work" for company managers, for managers and specialists of legal departments (services, departments) of enterprises, lawyers of civil practice.
Seminars on the topics "Contractual relations in the use of intellectual property objects", "Legislative regulation of the author's agreement", "Legal issues of protection of commercial secrets" and others.

 

In connection with the COVID19 coronavirus pandemic, the Scientific Center "Legal Support for the Innovative Development of Kazakhstan" of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law transferred training courses as part of advanced training courses, trainings to online training courses and online trainings (in the format of webinars). Online courses can be conducted on the ZOOM platform, Microsoft Teams (at the students' choice).

The center, using remote access online, held a webinar on the topic: "The use of modern information technologies in the educational process" lasting 72 hours in order to improve the qualifications of teachers of higher educational institutions
 
Scientific and educational, consulting center "Legal support for the innovative development of Kazakhstan" of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law of the Faculty of Law of Al-FarabiKazNU from December 19 - 28, 2017, from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm, conducts an online training course (webinar) on the topic: "The use of modern information technologies in the educational process." The duration of the seminar is 72 hours.

The purpose of the seminar is to improve the qualifications of teachers of higher educational institutions using remote access online.
