The Department of physical chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry implements training of specialists in the field of petrochemistry and oil refining. Students acquire fundamental knowledge in the field of petrochemistry, as well as homogeneous, heterogeneous catalysis, modern catalytic processes for processing hydrocarbon raw materials, organic and petrochemical synthesis, implemented at petrochemical enterprises in Kazakhstan. The basic centers for training future specialists are the leading enterprises of Kazakhstan: «KazTransOil» JSC, Almaty, «Condensate» JSC, «inter-Gas» JSC, Uralsk, «Karachaganak petroleum operating B.
