The lecturers of “BABES-Bolyai” University (Romania) at department

The lecturers of “BABES-Bolyai” University (Romania) associated professor, dr. Alexandra Ana CSAVDARI, associated professor, dr. Castelia Eugenia CRISTEA, professor, dr. Vasile Mircea CRISTEA have visited the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This visit was held within the framework of Erasmus+ program from April 15 to April 20, 2019. Professor, dr. Vasile Mircea CRISTEA is a specialist in the field of automatization and modeling of chemical and technological processes. Associate professor, dr. Castelia Eugenia CRISTEA works in organic compounds synthesis field. Scientific interest of associate professor, dr. Alexandra Ana CSAVDARI is connected with the study of kinetics of homogeneous and heterogeneous processes.

The “BABES-BOLYAI” university professors  visited the library and museum of our university, where they gained information about history, current achievements and development plans of KazNU.  They learned about the organization of educational process in bachelors, masters and PhD degrees by chemical-technological specialties.

They were provided with information about the scientific areas of the faculty departments. The Romanian guests also visited the laboratories of the Center of Physical and Chemical Methods of Research and Analysis and Institute of Combustion Problems.

On April 19, representatives of the University “BABES-BOLYAI” took part in the “League of chemists” competition organized by the teachers of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry (responsible lecturers: Syzdykova L.I., Batyrbaeva A.A., Ospanova A.K. ., Tusupbekova A.S., Seylkhanova G.A., Zhusupova A.K., Azhigulova R.N., Usipbekova E.Zh.). Romanian teachers prepared and asked questions on organic, inorganic chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry. Students participating in the competition showed good theoretical and practical knowledge.
