Academic Bachelor Mobility

On November 21, 2018, a seminar on the topic “Research Internships” was held by a 4th year student of the specialty “Chemical technology of organic substances” Tasbolat Adina with the participation of the 3rd year students of the specialty “ChTOS”. During the workshop, Adina shared her experience and impressions on short-term internships at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea (2017) and Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA, USA) (2018). The trips were sponsored by the GIST Global Intern Program and the Shahmardan Yesenov Foundation. During her internship, Adina learned to work on such devices as MALDI ToF mass spectrometer, NMR spectrometer, UV spectrometer, stopped flow technique, Dynamic Light Scatering. She also attended professors’ seminars, plunged into the atmosphere of research, boiling work, and met with students from all over the world who are also seeking to conquer the heights of world science.
